The Principles of
the Doctrine of Christ
Presented by Rev. Tim Sullivan
Presented in seven sessions, this class expounds upon the six foundational precepts of Christians -
THE PRINCIPLES OF THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST - as recorded in the book of Hebrews:
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on
unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the
doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
(Hebrews 6:1-2)
How important is this doctrine to a Christian disciple? 2 John 1:9 says, "Whosoever
transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,
he hath both the Father and the Son."
Without a firm grasp on these Biblical precepts, Christians will be "tossed to and fro, and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive" (Ephesians 4:14). The danger is real, but the answers are readily available.
After an introductory session on JESUS CHRIST OUR ROCK, the seminar proceeds with penetrating
teachings on:
-
THE DOCTRINE OF REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS
-
THE DOCTRINE OF FAITH TOWARD GOD
-
THE DOCTRINE OF BAPTISMS
-
THE DOCTRINE OF THE LAYING ON OF HANDS
-
THE DOCTRINE OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD
-
THE DOCTRINE OF ETERNAL JUDGMENT
