In Honor of Charlie Kirk
September 12, 2025
Before this week, I had a difficult time imagining the depravity of the people who will celebrate the death of the two witnesses spoken of in the book of Revelation. According to Revelation 11:10, "They that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth."
When the time comes for them to give their testimony, the two witnesses will be endued with extraordinary powers to mete out judgment on an unbelieving world. In that way, their testimony will be markedly different than the one that was faithfully presented by our brother, the late Charlie Kirk. He went into battle armed only with the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. But that sword pierced the hearts of them that heard, drawing some to repentance, but others to wail and gnash their teeth in hatred and defiance. And upon hearing of his death, the enemies of righteousness, those who were tormented by the truth, indeed “made merry.”
As I said, before this week I had a difficult time imagining that kind of person. Now I can easily picture them. I've seen their posts.
The old adage says, He who laughs last, laughs best. One day, not so long from now, the defiant will be crawling before the Lord, begging for mercy.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. (Ps. 2:4-5)
Rest in peace, dear brother.
"Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord."
In the Service of His Majesty, the King of kings,
Tim Sullivan
