The Rev. Yohanna Ole Ngekee

ITO TEACHING CENTER

ngekeeOne of the first Christians pastors among the Maasai people of Tanzania, Reverend Yohanna Ole Ngekee died in 2007 just as the fruit of his labors was becoming evident.

WTWH has built a Teaching Center in Matebete Village, near Chimala, Tanzania, in honor of the late Reverend Ngekee. This building was the fulfillment of a prophecy spoken long before we started our ministry among the Maasai. The following video features Adam Kuleit Mwarabu, a Maasai leader in PAICODEO (Parakuiyo Pastoralists Indigenous Community Development Organization) testifies to that fact, and speaks of the importance of the Center in Madungulu (Matebete) village.

Filmed in the early stages of construction, Reverend Paulo Kurupashi takes us on a tour of the site for the buildning, now called the ITO Teaching Center (ITO stands for Ilaasak Tenebo Oninye, "Workers Together With Him" in the Maa language).
