The Principles of the Doctrine of Christ

To be presented in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

July 29 and 30, 2011

Dear Friends,

As mentioned in the current issue of The Vine and Branches, our church in Baton Rouge would like to host Rev. Tim Sullivan’s seminar, "The Principles of the Doctrine of Christ." This 7-session seminar is based on Hebrews 6:1-2.

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

I had the privilege of hearing this teaching on our last mission trip to Tanzania.  I think it is Tim’s finest work to date, and an essential message to the Church. As newborn babes, we are to desire the sincere milk of the Word that we may grow thereby and reach maturity in Christ (1 Peter 2:2).

The seminar will begin the evening of Friday, July 29, and continue through the morning and afternoon on Saturday. On Saturday evening we will have a meal and fellowship together. Out-of-town guests are also invited to join us Sunday morning for our regular weekly fellowship.

We intend to hold the seminar in the Baton Rouge area. Our church members will be able to host a limited number of guests in their homes. If you plan to attend, let me know as soon as possible, especially if you need lodging.

It’s been far too long since we have gotten together for an event of this kind and I look forward to a sweet time of doctrine, renewal and mutual ministry.
